NIGERIAN iNSTRUMENTALIST ARE NOT MEETING UP WITH THE STANDARD FOR LIVE PERFORMANCES

There has been several articles talking about this subject, I would strategically strike a balance in my opinion so that we can see the problem from a different perspective. Firstly when we talk about live performances, a lot of factors are involved, a lot of stakeholders are also involved in the process. The question is if we have the right skills that can help Artiste put up a Live performance that meets up to that of their counterparts in developed societies. Everyone obviously has a different answer to this question. Apparently the problem is numerous but I would begin my comments from the musicians perspective and in subsequent post I would elaborate on other areas of the problem. Looking at the global trend in music, it is no news that the rate at which technology is influencing music is alarming. Several gadgets are invented on a daily basis basically due to the boom in information technology; everything is almost possible nowadays. Music producers have to constantly update...

-We are aiming on our we can come together and empower ourselves on musical instruments through 'Tutor Videos' and not always depending on other instrumentalist in foreign countries. -Working in hands together in facilitating,encourage and upgrading our musical knowledge through organising seminars from state to states to all Nigerian instrumentalist,competitions and lot more.. -Also,coming together as one Nigeria to create our well known 'scale'.i.e Nigeria scale.      Come to think of it,china, japanese,Algeria,arab and more, they all have there scales, I feel 'NI' should improve and come out with a meaningful scale. -Gaining our nation for music and empowering the young ones.       Be a member of the 'NIF' today!!
